Vont Smart light bulbs

 

I recently had the chance to work with with Vont for a second time (see my first post HERE )  I have to say, their products are excellent quality and a great value when compared to other brands in the same space. This time I tried out their Smart bulbs that even work with Alexia and Google (without needing a hub!). These were something my 10 year old was super excited to try out!! I have a feeling these will move out of our lamps and into his room in the near future, lol!!

 

Getting Started

I think a lot of you will like this, it works on both ios and android devices making it super compatible for any home. Head to the app store and look for the Vont home app (see below) Download it and make sure your bluetooth is on so that you can connect to your wifi.  It was super easy in the app I selected the + symbol and followed the on screen prompts. In under 1 minute I was connected to my light bulb and wow this thing is so cool!!! I did have to create an account with an email address, but I’m not kidding, under 1 minute start to finish! My kind of device!!!

It was so easy to change the color, brightness etc right in the app! I can turn it on, off, schedule it to go on and off, they even have fun scenes to choose from. Some of the options were related to holidays like halloween, valentines’s day, Party, Candlelight, disco, dance party and more!!! Under DIY you can setup your own effects. My son’s favorite feature is the music option. Click that setting and play some music and the light will literally change color according to the sound and rhythm of the music!! How fun for a party? These are going to get a lot of use in our house!
